Maria do Céu Santiago
Maria do Céu Santiago is a Portuguese lawyer and international business consultant with more than 25 years of professional experience, advising individuals, families, entrepreneurs, investors and companies on matters relating to Portugal, Brazil and the United Arab Emirates.
She has been registered with the Portuguese Bar Association since August 2001 and with the Brazilian Bar Association – São Paulo Section (OAB/SP) – since August 2009.
Throughout her career, she has developed extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, international business, immigration and residency, citizenship and nationality, real estate investment, international structuring and private client advisory.
Her professional experience spans Lisbon, São Paulo and Dubai, where she has advised international clients on cross-border investment, company formation, relocation and mobility. She has also held senior management and advisory positions within international consulting and mobility organisations.
She holds a Law Degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, where she also completed a Postgraduate Programme in International Trade. She holds a Master's Degree in Corporate Law from ISCTE. Her academic and professional qualifications also include a Postgraduate Programme in Air Law.
In the United Arab Emirates, she successfully completed the DIFC Laws Certificate Programme, delivered by the DIFC Academy in association with Middlesex University Dubai and Outer Temple Chambers, further developing her knowledge of English common law and its interaction with the broader legal framework of the United Arab Emirates.
As the founder of MCS International Advisors, Maria do Céu Santiago coordinates each matter from beginning to end, working closely with duly qualified professionals in the relevant jurisdictions to ensure a coordinated process and safeguard each client's interests.
